KISS legends host luncheon, give check for vets

KISS legends, Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, two of five partners of the Rock N Brews franchise, sponsored a luncheon at Rock N Brews Oviedo, 7131 Red Bug Lake Rd,, and socialized with over 100 veterans on Wednesday, August 9, 2017.  Gene and Paul signed autographs, mingled with guests and posed for pictures with them.  They then presented Orlando VA Medical Center Fisher House with a check for $7,500.

Fisher House is partnered with the Fisher House Foundation, the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Department of Defense to support America’s military.  Fisher House will provide a place for families to stay near their hospitalized loved ones during extended treatment of serious illnesses.  Groundbreaking for the Orlando Fisher House was on November 30, 2016.  When complete it will have sixteen private suites.

Rock N Brews gives back in every community where they have a restaurant.  They actively support the Wounded Warrior Project, which honors our wounded service men and women, along with assisting local schools and other causes.  They have twenty restaurants worldwide and are opening more.

The veterans lunch included the house potato salad, Carolina Style Sweet Mustard BBQ Baby Back Ribs, Sweet Heat Fried Chicken and coleslaw, topped off with a slice of cheesecake.  The food, as always, was delicious.

The menu at Rock N Brews Oviedo includes American comfort food and over 80 international and craft brews.  One of my favorite things about this family friendly rocked out restaurant is the dog-friendly patio.  It’s always so fun to see all the different dogs and talk with their owners.  It’s a very social place.  And they even have a dog menu so your furry friend can eat right along with you.
